Around April I was in Brisbane on holiday. During my visit the screw holding the leg of my glasses o...n to the frame was damaged and the leg hung off. Leaving me either blind or holding my glasses to my face like a pair of opera glasses. Not knowing what to do I made my way Oscar Wylee where I was met by the most helpful person on the planet Cyrene. Even though I wasn’t a customer she took real time with me, fixing my glasses, explaining the process, being both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She then also made a professional suggestion that has changed my life. She complemented my nose in her words a “Disney princess nose”. That when people go for nose jobs “yours is the nose they ask for”. I’ve been living off this since April and I’m so glad my mate was with me who witnessed this. Anyway, she suggested that due to the shape of my nose my glasses would slip down a fair bit (they did!) and in future I should go for glasses with an Asian Bridge / low bridge. I had no idea what this was, she explained and made suggestions on frame types/styles that would suite my face. She is awesome and a credit to wherever she works. I wish her nothing but the best, it’s a shame I live in Scotland because I would have 100% bought my next pair of glasses from Cyrene! See more

Update 12/08/25: The team has agreed to replace my glasses at no cost, but only after several back-a...nd-forth emails where I had to make my case about the quality. In the end, I do appreciate that they replaced them free of charge. ________________________________ Update 08/07/25: After being asked to reach out through their website, I sent an email but unfortunately, the response wasn’t very helpful. They simply pointed out that the glasses are outside the warranty period and advised me to keep them dry and avoid storing them in damp conditions. I had explained that my concern wasn’t about the warranty itself, but about the overall quality of the glasses. They developed rust within just one year, which is quite disappointing. Prescription glasses are meant for daily use, and they should be able to withstand normal wear and tear over time. In the end, there was no real assistance offered. ________________________________ I purchased the Andrew glasses from Oscar Wylee in May 2024, and unfortunately, I’ve been quite disappointed with their quality. After just a year, I noticed rust developing on one of the arms, which gradually got worse over time. I took them back to the Westfield North Lakes store to see if this was a common issue, as I didn’t expect rust on a pair of glasses after only a year. While I understand the warranty period had ended, I was hoping there might still be a solution, especially since this seems like a quality concern. The staff member at the store was absolutely lovely and genuinely tried to help. She kindly searched for a replacement arm and managed to find one from another pair, but even that piece showed some signs of rust, which tells me this might not be a one-off issue. It’s disappointing, as I expected the glasses to last well beyond a year. While I appreciate the staff's effort and kindness, I don’t feel confident in the product's durability and, unfortunately, won’t be returning to Oscar Wylee for my next pair. See more

Very helpful team members made sure I was happy with my final decision regarding my purchase of new ...glasses. The staff ate all so lovely, welcoming and efficient. The testing is always well-explained and easy ...for me. The results are always shown to me and the details easy to understand. Regarding the recent test, I was told my cataracts have not progressed significantly in the last 12 months. I was never told I had cataracts. Why? Going back, how many years have they been apparent to the tester? See more
