1. Home Trials

1.1 Our Home Trial kits are a free service that we offer exclusively through our website. You can select up to 5 frames to try at home for 5 days. When the order is placed, we require a credit or debit card to take a $1 holding fee. This is refunded upon return of the Home Trial.

1.2 If there is no Home Try-On button available when selecting frames, it indicates the frames are currently unavailable for trial due to insufficient stock levels. Stock levels vary every day as the frames are constantly being returned, shipped out and quality control checked. Once the glasses have been returned and checked, the inventory is updated.

1.3 If a Home Trial is not returned or is returned with missing/damaged frames, a fee of up to $200 may be charged to your account. By ordering a Home Trial, you agree to any payments taken from your nominated account.

1.4 Our Home Trial kits include a free returns label. Once your 5 days are up, put all the frames back in the box, close the lid and attached the free returns label over the original shipping label. You can then drop this off at any post office or Oscar Wylee store. If you do not have a returns label, a new one can be printed off from our website by following this link.

1.5 Your 5 days start from the day the parcel is delivered to you. If your 5th day falls on a weekend or public holiday, you can send the trial back on the next available working day.


2. Prescription Glasses

2.1 When placing an order through our website, you agree that any orders placed are correct. If unsure on how to place an order, contact our retail support team on (02) 83554646 or visit your local Oscar Wylee store.

2.2 You can place an order either in-store or online, using an existing prescription from Oscar Wylee or an outside optometrist. It must not have expired, must have your full name and the prescribing optometrist's contact information and must be for optical glasses and not contact lenses.

2.3 When placing your order online, you must enter your PD (pupillary distance). This can be obtained from your existing optometrist or by visiting one of our stores.

2.4 If a frame that you want to order is not available online, this means that it is currently out of stock at our lab and will be restocked shortly. Restock dates vary so we will be unable to estimate when the frame may be back in stock.

2.5 All orders for prescription glasses are final and Oscar Wylee is not liable for any errors made when entering your prescription information if placing an order online. Once an order has been placed, either in-store or online, they cannot be amended or cancelled. If you have an issue with your order, contact the store purchased from or our retail support team on (02) 83554646 or via email.

2.6 For sunglasses, you are unable to modify the lens colour. If you would like a different lens colour or finish on the lenses, you will need to visit one of our stores so they can place the order for you. This may incur an additional cost as this will be considered a custom order from our lab.

2.7 Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with the selected frame details. Please review and contact a member of the team immediately if you have any questions.


3. Non-Prescription Glasses

3.1 All non-prescription orders placed on our website, come from our warehouse where the lenses are pre-cut. For non-prescription sunglasses, you are unable to modify the lens colour. If you would like a different lens colour or finish on the lenses, you will need to visit one of our stores so they can place the order for you. This may incur an additional cost as this will be considered a custom order from our lab. For non-prescription items, we can offer exchanges within 30 days of being received, granted that they are still in satisfactory condition with no damage or adjustments to the frames.

3.2 If a custom order is placed from our lab (i.e non-prescription but lens extras such as coatings or a different colour tint for the sunglasses) is selected, this is exempt from our 30 day returns policy and no exchange or refund is possible.


4. Warranties/Exchanges/Refunds

4.1 You are entitled to a replacement for a major failure or fault with the frames or lenses. You are also entitled to have the goods, including the frames or lenses, repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality. This does not include being due to incorrect options selected when ordering or change of mind. We do not provide cover for mistreatment or general wear and tear over time.

4.2 There may be slight variations in the fit of each frame. If the fit is not perfect when you receive it, we'll help you adjust it to your face at any of our stores.

4.3 Since each pair of glasses is customised based on your prescription, we cannot offer any exchange or refund for change of mind on prescription items.
If the prescription provided from an external optometrist is incorrect or if the prescription is no longer valid, purchasers agree that Oscar Wylee is not responsible for the cost of the remake and are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.


5. Our two pair deal

5.1 Our two pairs of glasses for $199 deal includes clear optical glasses with standard single vision lenses only. You can upgrade to prescription sunglasses for an additional $50 per pair.

5.2 Our two pair deal is only available per person and cannot be split between two people. Only one prescription can be used per offer. If you have a distance and a reading prescription, this is included in the offer as this is considered to be one prescription. Any prescriptions must have the full name of the person claiming the deal. If you have two different prescribed prescriptions, you will need to visit a store to be eligible for our two pair deal.


6. Optometrist Prescriptions

6.1 At Oscar Wylee, the majority of our eye exams are bulk billed through Medicare. You can book an appointment through our website or by contacting one of our stores. If you take your prescription to an external optometrist to have lenses made and are unhappy with the results, Oscar Wylee is not liable for any cost to change the lenses.

6.2 If you bring an external prescription to Oscar Wylee to have lenses made and are unhappy with the results, Oscar Wylee is not liable for any cost to change the lenses. All external prescriptions must not have expired and must have your full name and the full name of the prescribing optometrist.


7. International Orders

7.1 When you order from one of our stores or online, we can ship internationally for a flat fee of $30 AUD.

7.2 Different countries have different customs fees. Oscar Wylee is not liable to cover the cost of any customs fees or taxes. We are unable to modify the total cost of your order to avoid or minimise customs fees. It is a good idea to contact your local customs office before placing an order so you do not receive any unexpected charges. If you wish to refuse your delivery, you will still be held responsible for the original customs fees or import duties and the cost of returning the package to Oscar Wylee. If the fees exceed the amount of your order including shipping costs, the parcel will be destroyed and you will not be refunded.


8. Processing Time

8.1 All orders take around 7-10 business days for processing and to be shipped out. Once your order has been sent, please allow 3-10 days for postage. If collecting in store, a member of the team will be in touch once the glasses have passed our quality control checks and are ready to be collected.


9. Current offers and promotions

9.1 Oscar Wylee reserves the right to stop any current offers at any time and without warning. All prices are in Australian Dollars. From time to time Oscar Wylee may offer a newsletter, or product or service information updates. By accepting these Terms, you consent to Oscar Wylee using your email address to send you our newsletters or product information.


10. Website issues

10.1 We try and keep our website as up-to-date as possible. If you have any issues using our website, this could be because of cookies in your web browser. We recommend you clear the cache and cookies of your browser and try again. If you are still having issues with our site, please contact our support via email


11. Health fund claiming

11.1 Only prescription items are claimable through a private health insurer.

11.2 You can claim on a private health fund towards part or the full cost of the frames and lenses. The total amount of claimable depends on your level of cover and allowance. We are only allowed to claim based on the information generated by private health funds and cannot alter amounts to increase or decrease amounts claimable.

11.3 Some health funds cover lens extras including hi-index upgrades or lens coatings but this depends on the level of cover.

11.4 For non-prescription frames with lens coatings or add-ons, we are unable to provide item codes as these are not claimable from a private health fund provider through Oscar Wylee.

11.5 Oscar Wylee reserves the right to apply a discount to the frame and/or lens in an order.


12. I care for eyecare

12.1 Oscar Wylee, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to choose the form of donation for its charity program whether it is monetary, product or other.
